Further improved from the Cat6 standard, Cat6a cables (Category 6 augmented) are the best choice for long-term installations. Cat6a has a maximum speed of 10 Gb/s, like Cat6, but up to a distance of 100 meters and up to 500 MHz. Shielded Cat6a cable is the best cabling solution for years to come.
Intellinet Cat6a cable features 100% copper wiring, is halogen-free (LSZH / LS0H) and fully shielded. The cable is ideal for connections between servers, servers and storage devices, servers and switches, 10 Gb/s connections, and active-zone cabling. The cables are compatible with T568A and T568B wiring. They also support PoE/PoE+/Ultra-PoE power supply standards (according to Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) Power via Media Dependent Interface (MDI)).
Cat6a cables are backward compatible with Cat 6, Cat5e, and Cat5.
