Further improved from the Cat6 standard, Cat6a (Category 6 augmented) cables are the best choice for installations with a longer lifespan. The maximum speed of Cat6a is 10 Gbps, just like Cat6, but it reaches up to 100 meters and 500 MHz. Shielded Cat6a cable is the best cabling solution for years to come.
Intellinet Cat6a cable features 100% copper wiring, is halogen-free (LSZH / LS0H), and fully shielded. The cable is ideal for connections between servers, between servers and storage devices, between servers and switches, for 10 Gbps connections, and active-zone cabling. The cables are compatible with T568A and T568B wiring. They also support PoE/PoE+/Ultra-PoE power supply standards (according to Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) Power via Media Dependent Interface (MDI)).
Cat6a cables are backward compatible with Cat 6, Cat5e, and Cat5.
